Hello and welcome...

My name is Katherine Hawksworth and I welcome you to my electronic portfolio. This website highlights my academic experiences and achievements while enrolled in the Masters of Public Health program at San Francisco State University.

My past experiences of working with children and adolescents was surely the springboard, along with my family upbringing that helping others is important, that got me to focus in on addressing the issues that impact one’s health and well-being.

The MPH program has certainly provided me with the tools to engage fully to strive for a better world within a social justice framework. I now posses the necessary qualifications and skills that allow me to assess, program plan, and evaluate program efficacy.  It is with this degree that I intend to address child and adolescent health and well-being through the use of policy development and prevention planning strategies.
